Mounts in Adventure Mode?

Guys, are there mountable animals in the vanilla for adventurer? If not, can you recommend any mod?   :-\

No mounts for adventurers as I am aware. Don't know about any mods.

What about a modded "Mounted Knight" creature thats really one creature? Maybe simulated by increasing the size and speed of the legs and bodyglossing them "Horse"?

I remember mention of mount/unmount scripts in the past, so i guess asking in the DFhack thread could help.

Yeah, there is a way to do it via DFhack, but I don't know how to do it myself.

Someday, Toady will implement a way for adventurers to acquire, ride, and control animals.  In the mean time, you can always try riding a mine cart into battle, instead.

though being stuck on a horse robs you all controls outside a small window to act so you are warned.
