...That's adventurous.

If you think you're up for it, it's your game anyhow. But I'm content as things are, so don't feel pressured to change the rules because of me. ;)
Do eet :3
Best start is our kind of start--2 mods? They can diversify tasks to two major classifications: world/lore building, and player handling.
If we may build the world, could we know set limits as to how we may describe things? (ie If I'm going to be a pilot, I'd like to describe my aircraft and its general potential?)

Technically it's the OP's game~

But it's handleable.

More of his(?) (I should check gender.) decision to do additional players though.

Dun wanna make it too much to handle.

Progress for game stuff is:

Research system mostly done.

Construction system mostly done

Planet is done. Maybe a few additions.

Design of vehicles is possible. Specifics are flexible. (Yes you can design the vehicle Tiruin~)

Solar system is as done as needed till mid game.

Flora is not done. Some ideas.

Fauna is partly done. A good number of ideas.

Map needs doing, sorta.

Movement is ideas, partly done.

Combat is ideas, not really started and not really needed till later.

Tactical battle system is ideas. Ideas for map construction exist.

Planet data partly done.

Arts maybe, not sure if needed.

NPC's easy to make, ideas exist.

Parts of corp not run by players have way to automate. Some concept some addition.

Specifics with other guilds unneeded till later on. Ideas exist.

Specifics with space stuff not done. Ideas exist.

Start of game ideas exist, not sure how it will work yet.

Other stuff being done.

Bring sunscreen and flashlights.

Movement system: ..Still needs doing.

Star system: More stuff done.

FTL stuff: Ideas of how it works are done. Specifics will be dealt with later.

Introduction/prologue: Basic layout done.

Starting assets: Mmmm.. sortadoneish, bit abstract till the players design stuff.

Horray! Can I request you input what mounts toa  central AI core inside the ship, if you have modules of such?

The entire ship starting ship is controlled by AI.

You're misjudging the scale. An AI isn't optional.

By big I mean BIG.

Ship won't even be 10% finished on game start. You're building into a small planetoid. That's a big bloody ship, even unfinished.

Did I mention it's big?

Is it 'Bigger then the Moon' big or 'bigger then most continents big'?

(I think the moon is the bigger then continents, unless we're going by surface area. Then I'm not sure...)

((Moon is about a little less then the surface area of Africa.))

It's between 10-20 kilometers long. It's a big chunk o planetoid.

It's also pretty small for a carrier ship. Massive guilds have ones that are literally built out of planets. Crust slowly converted, using planets own geothermal for power. These things are meant to hold entire guilds, millions or billions depending on the size.

Carrierships are the only ships capable of FTL long distance. They use wormholes, still working on the technobabble to explain that. Smaller ships that are more reasonably sized use warp drives. Much slower then wormholes but much more precise and can be used inside a solar system.

Carrierships will probably launch warp bouys for intersys transit. Not fully sure with that though yet.

The starting ship's planetoid is likely more of an oblong. But still sorta spherical. Not even 10% finished. As the game goes on, it will slowly be finished. Likely decades ingame though. Larger ones can take centuries or millennia. Specifics still being worked out.

How do those ships avoid collapsing into a pile of molten iron?

Some sort of anti-gravity rift?

Could be a decent plot device. 'Sabotage the antigravity rift projector in order to trigger a collapse of the ship's superstructure!'

They don't convert the internals.

Just most of the crust.

Mantle and core stay intact.

So, it's like a planet, just metal surface~

And you would be killing billions of civilians if you did destroy one~

Yep.

Takes millennia.

But it happens.

Smaller things are faster.

A combination of warp buoys in orbit, ripping holes in space for wormholes, and for smaller ones, giant ass engines.
