Yup.  You may dig that stone still.

Splendid.
Starting to work on first update.
Can anyone tell me why maskwolf's legendary stonecrafter child is a thug?
This is mystifying.

Might have been my doing.  I drafted 10 random dwarves without useful skils into the thugs when I started, regardless of relationship.  I think Litast had a mood after being drafted, so that would explain the legendary rank.

Could certainly be used to explain Kaladin's recent behavior, though.  Her mind being poisoned by her thug child or snapping because her kid refuses to come around to the Path.  Definitely some RP value there.

The vote thing has kind of fallen apart since I think Nebline is the only active mountain resident right now.  May be better to just RP additions for the time being until we have more active Mountain faction.

Also, Einstein, can I get an updated list of everyone in the mountain group?  My list has fallen behind by like 5 dwarves and I need to update.  Should be 11 dwarves after you add one for year 5.

I'll adjust the rules later to indicate that additions are currently RP based and that voting has been suspeded until we have at least 4 active mountain dwarves.

this is partly my fault since I didn't check the relationships of the dwarf that became maskwolf

After reviewing the burrow designations, the list seems to be somewhat paltry.

Here follows the residents of the mountain(as far as I can ascertain):

Chimerat
Nordinkel
Njnenko
Tonnot
Digger
Kaladin(to be added)

Alath Amugkulet the craftsdwarf is also included in the burrow, though I do not recall his ascent to nobility.
Further investigation shows that Sionnach and Alath both have rooms within the mountain, so I am not sure to count them amongst the population(I guess not Sionnach, but with Alath I am unsure)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

If I had to give an official estimate, I would say the mountain population stands at 6 with Kaladin, which means that some dwarves have to be added, otherwise the mountain will be overpowered by the sheer number of peasants against their thinned out ranks.

I can RP a few additions, bringing the number to 11.

The mountain has also been left somewhat unmanaged, with Tacomagic still owning a bedroom and an opulent tomb.
By now I expected them to eat from golden jewel-encrusted tables, but this does not seem to be the case.

You can evict Taco from her room, but general succession fort protocol is that she gets to keep the tomb  ;D.

It's not as if I were about to claim it for myself..... :P

So there is no objection to me elevating five dwarves to the mountain?

Noooo dont open that room with the corpses!  You will regret
oh - he walled himself in.  For a minute I thought you would unwittingly release the curse onto the population
elevate who you want but I didnt think that was your perogative story wise?

For story purposes it'd make more sense if the mountain dwellers picked a few dwarves to elevate so that slum workers would stop invading their workshops.

I totally forgot that we could use the first layer of stone... That would have saved me a lot of time getting people to carry clay everywhere.

Story wise credit needs to be given to the mountain for making the choice, but beyond that per the rules we need to be at 11 residents in year 5 so adding 5 is exactly what needs to happen.  From an RP point of view, they'll tend to want to pick dwarves who have high skill in something or who have provided them with valuable service of some kind.

Actually, did Neblime die?  Because she's supposed to be a mountain resident and I don't see her on your list.  It's possible she was temporarily removed from the burrow due to getting stuck on an errant hauling job.  If neblime is dead, can you figure out what killed her so I can update the first post?

If you add neblime back in, you should only need 4 more.

EDIT:  I added a dedicated list of dorfs who should be mountain residents to the OP.  That should make it clearer who should be in the mountain burrow, even if they're temporarily removed for RP or hauling purposes.

Neblime was still alive at the end of my turn at any rate. She even earned a title from smiting unarmed goblins.

:p

Neblime's still alive and well, though she was not restricted to the burrow and I forgot to add her name to the list.
So that would make 4 inductees.

probably my fault that she wasn't on the burrow, I can't remember exactly why though, I think maybe she dropped her equipment in the wrong place or something

Dwarves are still streaming in through our gates.
This has become a problem, as I have already counted about thirty-five new migrants.

Ouch, those big waves are really a killer in Gloved with how packed in everything is.  I should have made those damn dormatories an extra story or two high.

Also: Yay!  I have new minions!
