Right, so, Stands (Read Jojos bizarre adventure if you don't know about these, season three, if you want to catch up fast), first thing to know is that they are either named by their color scheme and a randomly drawn tarot card, or a song name, the name of the song doesn't have to be related to the stands power, nor does the music inside the song need to correspond to the stand, they can, however, but this isn't a rule, they can be separated into two (well, three) types, Automatic and Manual (Self-Harming is also one.), some stands can even be both, or has a power to summon a automatic mini stand.
Automatic stands are stands that are not controlled by the user, only sent out, there are some outliers here but with stands, everything has outliers, anyway, automatic stands normally have a theoretically unlimited range, and incredible statistics compared to manual stands, but because it can't be controlled, it normally falls to stand users with stands that have powers that can capitalize on a weakness found in a stand or even just quick thinkers, they also normally have some sort of weakness attached to it, such as only going for heat signatures or only being able to work in the shadows, automatic stands can also be assumed as one trick ponies, as without any user to guide them, the power is mostly only used in one way, albeit effectively.
Manual stands are where the gold is, these stands, while not normally packing the raw strength, durability, or all around stats of an automatic stand, quite commonly surpass them, simply because of the way stands work, as in they do not go along with any universal rules, energy can be randomly created or destroyed near instantly, time can be stopped or even erased, stands made naturally also normally either give powers or have certain aspects reflecting the character in question.
Stands can take many different forms, with no real limit to what they may look like, though with strong willed humans they normally are humanoid, though some may appear as an ocean liner, or not have a definite form in the first place, only giving the user certain powers or being made out of something like sand.
Stands can also be dangerous to the user or only activate upon the users death, but these stands mostly only appear on people with weak wills, as that causes the stands to go haywire and start killing the host, or just be an active detriment, those stands are normally only created through unnatural means, however, like being shot with the magical stand giving arrow or being in the deadlands.
