Hello guys, I got an idea for a new RtD, and I think this is a more or less unique thing. The system is a standard d6 without overshoot.

You are a stalker.

You live in the zone near the Chernobyl NPP, collecting artifacts and exploring it , fighting mutants and discovering new, unknown beings and powers that were not seen outside of the Zone.

Whoever you were before you came here doesn't matter. Your life begins anew, and now you can forge your own destiny again. No matter your past, the only thing that matters now is what you do, and what you plan to do. You currently are near or in a small encampment of rookies.

Some of you are hiding something from the others, maybe having a headache before an emission, or being an agent sent to gather intelligence.

I gaze into its milky depths, searching the wheat and sugar for the meanings I can never find.
It's like tea leaf divination, but with cartoon leprechauns.
There are only two sure things in life: death and taxes and lists and poor arithmetic and overlong jokes and poor memory and probably a few more things.

Stalking into this RtD

Name:Ambrose
Age:35
Background: Vodka is a hell of a drug. Shame most of Russia suffers from it, but oh well. Ambrose was a constantly drunk beggar in Moscow, sleeping on sewer grates and trying to survive from day to day, after he lost his memory in a drunken bar fight where he got konked in the head too hard. One day, he managed to score some serious cash, and ended up blowing it all, and a bit extra. Turns out the local enforcer would not accept dirty sheets as payment, and he was thrown in the back of a truck, to "Pay off his debts" Now, he's stuck in the zone.
Specialisiation: +1 to convincing people.
Skills: +1 Brawling, +1 Survival
Equipment: 1 Vodka bottle (bottom shelf, half full) 1 old fur ushanka, old leather jacket, old button up plaid shirt, dirty jeans, steel toed boots.

Ooh, this seems like fun. Time to make the most inappropriate character for this!

Name: Nigel Perkins
Age: 53
Background: Nigel had done thirty years with Cheston and Bloom Chartered Accountancy. He was two weeks into his retirement when his wife suggested he have a bit of fun, go somewhere. Not being a particularly world hopping type (He had never left England), he spun a globe and landed his finger on the Ukraine. He was expecting a nice trip in a relatively stable country judging by a quick Wikipedia search. He was wrong. First came the revolution, then the invasion. Then the news came through that his passport had been confiscated as part of an anti-terror initiative due to some slip up by the powers that be. A slightly shady gentleman offered his services to get a new passport, which wouldn't be cheap. The gentleman suggested a trip into the Zone to get a few artifacts then sell them on. One thing is certain: this is the worst holiday Nigel has ever been on, even including that trip to Norfolk.
Specialisiation: Mathematics. Nigel has been doing accounting for thirty years and has been employee of the month for ten of those. He is very very good with numbers.
Skills: Orienteering (He once had a lovely time doing that with some mates in Scotland) and DIY (He's put up a few shelves and made a subpar birdhouse with his daughter)
Equipment: Pressed suit, nice tie, thick rim glasses, wellingtons, pocket calculator.

Do it yourself. Constructing things and crafting in a limited capacity. He probably can't make anything that doesn't have a guide printed in a popular magazine.

Don't really know anything about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. so I have some questions before I make a character.

A:Apocalypse or very very poorly managed planet?

B:If apocalypse, is it something like 5 years after or more like 50?

C:What's exactly is the Zone?

D:What kind of stuff is around?

E:How many players?

A-D: Neither. You are in a restricted are near the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, the CNPP, and due to immense radiation many animals have mutated and there were several items created, and due to their nigh magical properties they became known as the artifacts. The Zone is the area restricted by the military, and that is where all the mutants and artifacts exist.

E: We'll see, probably around five.

He throws swords. Carrying many swords is reasonable for someone who throws them. But I can change that if you really want. He'll be very sad though. He's had those seven swords most of his life.
Nardo's a character I've used in a few post-apocalyptic games. He started as a mercenary recruit, then his gang got captured and kept in a prison camp after a big misunderstanding. He managed to escape, and since then he's been getting worse with each game he's in. I'm trying to  break his addiction and get his life back together, but none of the games seem to last long enough for that.

This is not post apocalyptic. Second, everyone will be using guns, so unless you are fine with literally bringing a knife to a gunfight, you can have a few, but not seven. Four at best.
