Effects to items

Im trying to find out how to add effects to stuff, are there any good effects that I can add to stuff? One goal is to make coffee give a small speed boost but cant find any info.
Send help pls.
EDIT: I found it sorry guys. if anyone has a solution it would be good to hear to make sure i am on the right path
