Aye it's sorted now. In the meantime I managed to render the fortress pretty much self-sufficient and got an adventurer started in said fort, kill the lord of a nearby human hamlet and conquer the place. He died from his wounds after dealing with the guards so I don't know how that'll pan out long-term but now I've started looking for embarks.

I'm gonna look in this area to begin with, to connect Skinnedseals (my current fort, kind of a frontier) to the rest of the empire, as well as to try and give another staging ground to fight off the humans and goblins surrounding it, they're gradually creeping towards the Mountainhome so we need to gain a little ground. Interestingly enough the first place I looked at is surprisingly decent.

Let's make the fortress a little !!FUN!! since this is being planned as a succession fort. We will have to start a new thread and get people, unless you want to do a community Fort

Sounds like a plan. Given that this is gonna be on the outskirts of Dwarven territory like Skinnedseals was (and Silverypainted was meant to be) I'm thinking cage traps everywhere, elaborate execution machines and that arena I keep putting off building? Skinnedseals got a few curious humans and goblins sniffing around, so when the werebeasts come they'll be kept busy

Beyond that, the only real goals I could think to set are to end the wars with both the humans and elves, and to kill/trap the lone Hill Titan that's managed to make it this far, see if we can't end the Age of the Hill Titan at long last.
