I'm sorry concerning the insanity, It's just that I know nothing of the Lore, Therefore I can't tailor my insanity, So I'll be Lurking/Constructively Posting, Although I still think that Boarding Hooks are truly the most awesome naval weapon.

Naval Weapon.

Well there's your problem. You're thinking of space like an ocean. It isn't an ocean~

Pft space is just an ocean without the water. I'd love boarding hooks or some way to engage enemy crews directly.

Vengeance is mine saith the Lord but this morning. He's going to fucking well have to share.

Is she worth it, would you burn the city to save her? For her, I'd burn the world.

To quote, uh, somebody.
Quote
Space is big. Really big. No, bigger than that. Okay, you're not getting it. Think of the biggest thing you can possibly imagine. Imagine a few million million of them. You there yet? Good. You still don't understand how big space is, though, because Space is bigger than that. It's just that big.

 Finally someone understands my viewpoint!

But seriously nobody will expect us to use ancient naval tactics, Therefore we will have the advantage as it would be impossible to predict our movements!

Lets use the ancient naval art of training war parrots. No one will realize they have been boarded by space war parrots until it is to late!

Well, it's kind of like an ocean, except without water or air, one more dimension to work with, orbital mechanics coming into play, maneuvering consisting of thrusting in a given direction to adjust your velocity vector, the distances involved being fucktupled in size and aiming working considerably differently. And also voyages being a bit longer. Boarding's probably not a viable possibility much of the time (due to fucktupled distances).

Of course, this isn't necessarily hard sci-fi (since the GM said it's more of a half-chub with options than properly hard), so all those might not hold true. You may very well have the vaunted pew-pew swashbuckling experience after all, gentlemen, though it's probably best to get the full mission statement before making sweeping decisions on what the ship's going to be like and who's going to get which room and who's sleeping on the top bunk or whatever.

Pulling up next to another ship and doing space-broadsides probably isn't going to be a good idea, I should probably say.

Though, from things posted earlier, I think he's joking around?

Yeah, hard-leaning means more hard than soft. Realistic, but allowing for advanced technology, more compact/efficient versions of known processes, alien biology. So, constraints to encourage creativity and thought, but I'm not going to be sitting down and running calcs on every detail. (I don't like doing math very much :| )

You can fake being able to run on water. You can't fake looking cool when you break your foot on a door and hit your head on the floor.
