Its fine, it's a good topic :)

Is it confirmed that pathing is still fubar in .40 for flyers?  It seems like if goblins can calculate paths over the walls, that there's a chance that flyers might be able to path better too and not get stuck.

I'm not so sure about that. I can certainly ask around and test, but even if Toady added better pathing for invasions, that doesnt mean that their pets are smarter.

I'll try playing my civ in vanilla some more and see if I get again attacked by elves riding eagles.

Speaking of pathing, it seems that magma safe citizens still don't path through magma, sad.

I'll be starting some work in earnest in the next weeks.  Now's a good time for any further suggestions!

The first couple betas will be pretty stripped down core material, getting the creatures, entities, and tribal gear working;
then experiments with "new" mechanics (like upgradable buildings, spawnunit, etc.) that might affect how i design mid and late game things;
then adding the extended content back in.

Still going might be slow, since i'm pretty busy.  But the Witcher is over at least ;)
