It is a wonder why nobody noticed that. Hrmm. But at least our Manceritude is coming back fast!

But. Come to think of it, our problem is that our good friend is dead. You know who knows a lot about being dead? Death cultists cultists like the one by the ol' sacrificial slab!

We ought to pay them a visit.

---

Also, while we're at it... I'm beginning to wonder about the curious words used to describe actions. They obfuscate rather wonderfully the different spells and make everything a bit more difficult when deciphering what does what, but that doesn't mean they're impossible to translate. It just means you may want to have a dictionary ready.

For instance, to Larinize is to give a Latin form to a word. Latin is often used at a 'magical' language, so in this case we're literally giving Latin magic to the words and making them work.

With other words, such as Remancitype, we have to break it down into multiple parts. For instance, Remanance and Type seem to make, Remancitype.

What that actually means however is a bit of a mystery. Remanance is the product of an object to retain a magnetic charge and Type simply means what something is or what qualities it possesses. Which doesn't make sense.

However! It comes from the latin word remenare though, so perhaps the latin word Reman might make more sense, which is to restore the 'manliness' or 'courage' of an object. Or in other words, renew it's type and give it form. Which, in hindsight makes some sense! Maybe.

Though, that does make me curious about belt. Belt has multiple active meanings, including from to beat something down, or to 'belt it out'. In singing terms, to belt a piece of music has an entirely different context.

---

Final thoughts.

Metamancy. It's a basic idea, but I may as well dissect it for kicks as well. Meta is of a creative work, referring to itself or to the conventions of its genre; self-referential. Mancy as a prefix is divination by a specified means.

Therefore, a Metamancer is one who divines the meaning of the context of the world around them and the conventions of their world. This knowledge presumably allows them to ascend it as well, breaking the rules and supplanting them with their own.

I'm personally against going to talk to the guys that want to kill us. My vote is to head back around and go towards the LOOKING FOR TROUBLE spot.

I say we go to the cultists. It's a good place to start looking for that prophet dude, and to #GetThatHat.

Interesting comments on the origins of larinize!
Is there any chance it's really just one game-long set-up to a singulariny joke?

I don't find Remancitype that confusing, but then I don't know a lick of Latin:

RE + MANCY + TYPE

=

Change mancy type (of an object)

Like re-upholstering a chair
or re-aligning a bike wheel.

Easy peasy.

Belt isn't a meta spell, is it? It's just the one we get from our current hat?
And since it's Berlie's hat, I'm gonna guess Birdy is right with the "belting out a song" interpretation, a la "it ain't over till the fat lady sings" because don't we look a little Brunnhilde-ish in that getup?

I'm voting with Durithill on avoiding the nastymancers and looking for trouble. Let's see if we can go left and complete the loop around to the obelisk in the purple realm.

What we really need is a metamancic spell called "Where's Walder"

Considering How MetaMancy Seems to work, That Is Probably Either a Combination of Spells cast in a specific order or a spell we can Larinize.

You have trouble deciding where to go.
For now, you decide to explore TOWN.

You go UPRIGHT.

LOADING
There are actually 12 passwords
and you need to know them all

LEFT goes towards the CAVES.

DOWNRIGHT goes towards the CULTISTS.

+1 nachos

Then, since left is a new direction,  we'll get a loading screen when we go there.  So:

1. wait for manceritude bar to recover to max
2.go left and simultaneously cast transcend context
3. steal larinoid from loading screen

By the way... the longer we take before trying to use Transcend Context to save Stanstan, the more time and therefore manceritude it will take. It's probably already impossible. So Nachos.

DONT STOMP ON MY DREAMS!

Besides, it's really easy to put Stan Stan in a nearby panel.

Nachos and nacho paraphernalia are clearly the most important thing right now.

That said, I am interested what that fellow is doing with a white shirt. If that means anything, he's related to Metamancy, right?
