lets make a mod for...

the less common creatures

normally the main races even in mods are
 dwarfs, elves, goblins, and humans

instead for this world the gods decided to try something different and made the main races


fire men, animal men ,blood men and ...iron men...amethyst men...not entirely sure?

ok I have some ideas on how to get injuries to fire men and blood men to be less lethal and also how to keep them cloathed

im not sure if this will work but could we make stuttering not disappear over time and become a part of something's body? in this case we could have a thread called "mystic fire strand"

if that does not work could we make it so fire men will ONLY heal when sutured? in this case "ash strand thread"

if neither of these work can we make them heal very slowly, I don't think such a fragile race should stay wounded forever.

as for clothing I don't think a race of fire men would work well with normal cloth and metal cloth is kind of reserved for the really special adamantine and divine metals, so It would make sense to have a cloth that's fire proof, and if they could get ash to form threads there would not be much to burn, there already men made of fire so why cant one say that the ash is held together by magic?

A bit of a suggestion, putting out tons of ideas won't attract a lot of people. People are ready to help when they see the project moving, so put the code in actual files which you can install as a mod and share the ideas without those walls of texts, and much more people will follow :).

I would like to do that.....sadly the only changes so far are removal of no emotion and no fear from a few creatures, removal of civ controllable from dwarfs and a messed up raw for fire men.,..i tested it and that fire man raw above is wacky.

all the fire men are referred to as fire woman, and it does not recognize genders.

the entire point of this thread is to get the code and to learn more myself, while sharing ideas and raw for this mod.

when we can do basic things with this then I will upload. but right now trying to actually play beyond basic testing is going to be a problem.

edit-wait you can mod right? think you can help me with the fire man raw and ash cloth? I have only the faintest idea of what im doing with materials....and that fire man raw...is just wrong
some were...I tried comparing it to the dwarf raw but I cant spot the problem.

edit again- wait....I think I see the fire man problem....lets me test now

Then I suggest to put code in [ code ] and [ spoiler ] tags, it will make it much more readable.

Your problem is that you have only one caste.
You need
[CASTE:MALE]
 [CASTE_NAME:fire man:fire men:fire man]
 [MALE]

and

[CASTE:FEMALE]
 [CASTE_NAME:fire womman:fire wommen:fire womman]
 [FEMALE]

Of course I can mod :). I cannot teach you the whole thing, you have to learn it yourself through trial and error, but I am more than happy to assist with issues and answer questions.

Just don't forget that if you don't make any [CASTE:XXX], the creature will assume [CASTE:DEFAULT], so in your case you overwrote [CASTE_NAME:fire man:fire men:fire man] with [CASTE_NAME:fire womman:fire wommen:fire womman] because [CASTE_NAME:fire womman:fire wommen:fire womman] comes later.

Also it's woman/women :).

ok.....while your here could you figure out why my adventures keep starting  out with the gear of an outsider (ie. naked with a crapy spear and knife) but still has the swordsman skill I gave it on creation...im a part of this civ I spawned in and I don't know what I could have done to cause this...

its a copy of the dwarves entity with changes to the religion spheres along with change to position name and the removal of the [punishment-exempt] from most if not all positions
and the removal of [menial_labor_exempt]from most lower positions.
