Well, I guess you could make Sunless Sea a MMO and add interactions between Londoners and Zailors.  Strange to think about.

Maybe you could build a base as a bond villain, then invade it in first person as an agent? Sounds like the makings of a third-rate game that manages to be kinda cool anyway.

According to a Game Informer editor, one of the scrapped prototypes for HL3 was a RTS.  Which I'd love to be a reality...  Would sidestep the whole issue of needing to be a groundbreaking FPS in a rather tapped-out genre, too.

Orcish Inn + XCOM2. 

He's no alien, just a misunderstood orc who found himself rescued by humans from the Slum District of Los Angeles. 

Aboard the Avenger, he found his calling serving brews in the bar. 

He is also invited to be an envoy when new contacts for the resistance to which he learns new beer recipe that would be a hit with the locals. 

He is also able to join the trip to the black market and trade for ingredients, specially the infamous Advent Burger.

Soulscraft 5

I'm guessing it takes place in yet another cycle of fire except being a punishing ARPG it's a fast paced APM based RTS where you control one of the factions vying to control the flame and further their own agenda with it. Unit numbers are fixed and they respawn after a time in certain spots on the map which become naturally contested areas, while everything inbetween is filled with danger and threats that provide resources for improving the might of your units and customizing them for specific roles. There's also drop in multiplayer wherin random folks can jump into your singleplayer games and fuck up whatever you were doing at the time for shits and giggles.

Embodiment of Scarlet Devil + Fallout: New Vegas.

My character could always use a bit more dakka. And a cute shrine maiden outfit. And a satisfying yet intensely frustrating FWWWSHHHH sound when you die.

Dark Souls and Pathfinder.

Uh. TPKs are the new normal? Every time you bite the dust, you lose all experience and carried currency and get raised at a nearby church. Then you have to try to get it back. Repeated deaths cause damage to Wis, Int, and Cha until you exchange some arbitrary Humanity-like with the church for restoration.

Xenonauts 2 Demo + XCOM2 LW2 

Xcom2 in 3D and everyone has Turn Units (TU).

So you move your Shinobi to peek in that corner and as you complete your TU to face that side, reveals a tile where a Muton was waiting.

It would if you're Shinobi is adjacent to the Muton; unless maybe if you have Ghostwalker active.

Turn Units though.
