Frankly, I don't trust others in regards to this sort of technology to not fuck it up and get us all killed. I have... well, no hope in the other researchers, though this could be (and probably is) just my ego talking.

Musk and Yudkowsky's work both have the exact same stated goal. I haven't seen Musk talk much, but I read Yudkowsky's book, so I've got an idea of his ego, and yeah, I can see it being that. I'm reminded of that time he said the entire readership of his fanfiction, which seems to be the most popular fanfiction on fanfiction.net, might be smarter than him. Might. I don't know about that, I think the verses were basically "Kill literally every man and woman and take their virgin daughters."

I might be mixing it up with the verses that say "Kill literally EVERYTHING, don't even take their goats."
