I used to carry around coins to get elves out of trees back before I was able to just launch myself up there, and they tended to do a good job of bruising tissues, occasionally breaking bones, and once in a while ruining an organ or opening an artery.

I took up a silver spear for shaft bashing today. It works surprisingly well.

Non-modded, I usually prefer using a two-handed sword with a shield. Often augmented by picking up random weapons from slain enemies and using them as throwing weapons. Feels really satisfying to throw an axe or dagger and get the "Victim McDead has been shot and killed" after a successful headshot (headthrow?)

Modded, I do the same throwing thing but as a main weapon I use either a claw and knuckleduster, or a dacian falx (a big 2-handed sickle-like weapon).

Axes, The tactical chopping of limbs is fun. Plus I like getting small axes and throwing them. It's Like my ranger in DND!

One time I went around shanking people with a steel bolt I found. It was surprisingly effective at severing limbs, despite being what basically amounts to a small pointy steel stick. Other good options include menacing spikes, serrated discs, giant corkscrews, and chairs.

No they aren't. Coins pass though targets without damage.

I always use an iron or copper pickaxe. It's real easty just to sneak up behind peasants and bop 'em in the head.

Whip (steel or Iron or Bronze) and several daggers/short swords/axes to throw. After being at least Expert you can easily stop or severely wound people. Against most people, I usually try in first approach heavy attack/kick in the head or in hand (if heavily armored)
