I thought Sgt. Pain was good. But Lt. Bites is just awesome considering that the Squirtle line learns Bite. Sgt. Pain has my vote.

What did I walk into.

Whatever it is, my vote is on Squirtle.  I made it through over half the game with that as my solo pokemon, though I can't remember if I taught it cut or it couldn't and I grabbed an HM slave.  I think it was the former...

Welp I expect some build suggestions from you guys, mostly pokemon and nicknames and I'll adapt my gameplay and COMMENTARY to that and hopefully beat the game.
