A Slow Awakening [SG]
« on: February 08, 2015, 12:44:43 am »

Your mind starts to awaken from what seems like years of sleep. You don't know your surroundings or even what you're laying on.

From a distance you hear foot steps coming closer to you, only stopping to open something that sounds like a door. Someone touches you with a hand that feels cold as winter. Slowly your eyes open to see a man in a white coat looking down at you with concern and excitement. He's holding a withered clipboard with his left arm. He pulls a pen from his jacket pocket as his mouth opens.

"What is your name?"

Admit that you don't know. Ask what is going on.

The man's face has a look of disappointed expectation on him as he clicks his pen and begins to write.

"You don't remember your name?" He quickly glances to the window to your left before continuing, "You volunteered for an experiment, what kind, I don't know. I've only been here for a few weeks watching over you."

The man examines your vital status and begins to write again.

"You've been through a lot, would you like me to go?" Says the man as he puts the pen back into his white coat pocket.

You struggle as you respond to the man. "No. You can stay."

He nodes his head in acknowledgement. "I have a list of questions that I've been told to ask you, anytime you feel to tired to reply just let me know."

"Are there reacquiring thoughts on any element going through your mind? If there is, please be specific."

The man looks straight at you begins to say "Are you su-" but is cut off as two men in suits walk in from the door.

"Doctor, will you step outside for a moment?" said one of the men with authority.

The doctor looks nervous as he gets up. Midway to the door he turns. "My name is Theodor, by the way, I never introduced myself." You see him then continue out of the room.
You're laying on what appears to be a hospital bed, there is a vital monitor to your left, along with the large window now covered from some curtains on the other side. The door into the room is a about two feet from the window. There is also a chair in the corner of the room on your right. There are no other entrances/exits, except for a small air duct vent behind the chair.

You are about to ask what happened, but you realize you're the only one in the room.

Looking over at the vital moniter, you notice that your heart rate is high. Not knowing how long it might be before someone comes back in, you climb out of the bed.  An uneasiness passes over you upon looking at the clipboard hanging over the moniter.

Patient 64.

You notice a little mark on the wall that continues behind the clipboard.

You move the clipboard and see "Trust No One." etched behind it. Taking a deep breath from the note, you move over to the window and see that the curtains are draped across the other side. Now panicked, you start hyperventilating and take off all the medical wires attached to you causing the vital monitor to flat-line. In a hurry you unplug the monitor and start to control your breathing to prevent yourself from passing out.

Shortly after, A man in a suit enters the room while he's grumbling to himself.
