Head to the stream, looking for a sharp edge on a rock. If we cant find any, make a sharp edge on one by hitting two together.

As you make your way away from the trees, across the large meadow, the rain stops and the sun comes out. It is nearing noon, but seeing the sun, you are now fairly certain you are, in fact, headed west. You near the steam, and cannot hear it running, perhaps from the wind in the grass. Or, perhaps, it is a game trail after all. At last, you come close enough to see through the grass, and, to your astonishment, you see a road! Can it be? You approach, and feel it with your foot. Yes, it must be, though of what it is made of, you cannot tell. Some kind of hard, black, stony substance, though it is seamless. No cobbles, no lines between bricks or blocks, just the occasional crack.

The road runs to the North and South. Which way? You did come from Northwards, but not this far to the West.

The road runs long, gently snaking through the trees and meadows. It's more comfortable to walk on than the pebbly ground of the forest, but you soon notice that it leaves a thick residue of black dust on the soles of your feet. You see many more creatures as you go, some of which you can identify and some unfamiliar, some eying you warily and others ignoring. More deer and elk, various small things that run away, some kind of middling-sized spotted cat (lynx, perhaps?), and a much larger, tawny one that slinks back into the trees on catching sight of you. You see some more wolves, but they ignore you.

It's no longer so cold with the sun out, and with beauty of the countryside, you might almost enjoy the walk, though you worry about coming across another traveler in your nudity. Eventually, you come to a fork in the road: no longer does it continue South, just East and West. Additionally, you're starting to get a bit hungry, and thirsty as well.

The road to the East seems to curve back Northwards after a short distance. You wonder if you should continue following it, or go back and try the other way.

Yeah, we need clothes. Maybe we should find a stick and impale a wolf and eat it....

But yeah, head straight

The road continues North for some distance, at this point almost, you think, as far as you had followed the other one South, though, being somewhat further East, you suppose you're not retreading. You grow hungier, but you see nothing that looks like it wants to pick a fight. Perhaps you might go back into the trees to search. But you stop. Through the woods, you see yet another surprise: a dwelling! Not far from the road, you spy a cottage amidst the trees. It has neat log walls, a pitched roof shingled with grey stone, and a small porch on the front.

Good!
Knock on the door, then hide in a bush. If no one answers, go inside. If they do answer, call out from the bush and ask for clothes...

You feel somewhat apprehensive, approaching the cottage so unclothed, at risk of receiving a quick answer, but you nonetheless go knock on the door. In record speed, you reach the bushes and wait for a couple minutes. No answer. Risking a sudden answer, you walk up to try the handle. It's locked.

Go to the back door. If that is locked, break through the back....
