Virgil is the first guy to not come on to her or act like a selfish pig. He actively attempts to help everyone and even said that protecting people is what they should be doing. Or something like that.

Karma, reminds her of her father. Well, the way he acts anyway.

And makes a certain mechanic I'm going to introduce a LOT more interesting if she ever grows out of it.
Does that mechanic cover addiction, recovery and (possible) relapse? Because the real-life person Branson is partially based off of took several years to even mention their actual personal issues.

Well, might as well explain it now.

Basically, at a certain point, your Persona will evolve, gaining new affinities and skills- this was in the OP. What I'll figure out is how to tie it to character development as in the games- currently it's just XP.

However, judging by everyone's baggage, people will probably reach the peak of their development around the time evolved Personae become available.

She was abused. Still pure, just. Yeah. She may have severely injured and/or murdered her father when she was 11. Out of self defense.

Well... that's a step down from what I was thinking, though the murder part is a step up.

But why does she like Virgil then? :P
Because he's the goddamn batman.

You have no idea what you did when you made the batman joke.

I know exactly what I did.

Virgil is the first guy to not come on to her or act like a selfish pig. He actively attempts to help everyone and even said that protecting people is what they should be doing. Or something like that.

Karma, reminds her of her father. Well, the way he acts anyway.

He is a lot more selfish then you can see, if I don't miss my guess.  :P

Does it have to be a person's deep seated emotional/psychological issues that they keep secret? Or could it just be another matter that is currently troubling them and more likely to be resolved in the timeframe?

Either one, depends which ends up getting resolved first.

I don't think I went into this with any deep-seated stuff in mind.

I think Karma ruining my comic will have to do.

Eh. If there isn't enough, then we'll just go by experience.

I just thought it'd be cool to let everyone evolve their Persona later on. We'll handle the specifics when people are actually CLOSE to that point.

They can talk- if they're humanoid and have a logical place to talk out of. Although what they'd say would basically be what YOU'D say, so you might as well say it yourself. :P

Everything she had done so far has been full mental  :P.

You could always realize that massive crush you have on Karma was never meant to be  :P.

I didn't really go into this thinking my character would be still-in-the-closet homosexual either :P

It does seem like a slightly more... realistic issue than being that upset over a comic, though.
