Out of curiosity, what type of dice was rolled when I was trying to perform my shove, a D4?

You don't dodge in a direction unless you're dodge rolling. Are you dodge rolling?

btw, if you dodge roll, you lose your next turn. but don't worry about that. I should have the undead warrior dead by the end of this turn. So I would indeed recommend dodge-rolling.

EDIT: Also I think you guys got the turn order wrong. Helena was supposed to try to shoot another arrow at it and then Alphonse would attack it.

If Alphonse does indeed do what I say, kick the (hopefully sitting undead) into a prone position and perform a finisher. Aim for the head

If Alphonse doesn't, then say:  ??? ........ :(
"Uhhh.....ok then" Malcolm switches his sword out for his scythe "It just hasn't been working for me, you can understand that"

If Alphonse tries and fails, then say: >:(
Malcolm drops his sword on the ground and attempts to grab the undead "So you think you're so clever dodging all of our attacks, well let's see what happens when you can't dodge!!!"

Well, Alphonse already has a successful attack lined up, but he can scrap it to shove the undead into the wall if he wants.
