So, are you saying you're too good, or that I set a new standard of nubderp? Or vice-versa?

Not that I'm too good or you're bad (I usually die around year 5), it's just that I understand all the mechanics necessary to make a survivable fort, and I think that this fort would be much more Fun if others were to go instead.

Also, since I've signed up for my turn a few months ago, I've gotten much better and recently had 2 forts last 10 years before fps death killed them both. Basically, I think this fort deserve better (meaning less experienced) than me.

As it turns out, pulling every lever in the fortress wasn't as good of an idea as it sounded like at the time.

The same honestly might go for me, really. I mean, I have yet to get a stable fort going, but it was mainly because my plump helmet patch stopped working for no apparent reason.

little insight into what im gonna do:

magma pump towers "The bigger the better. For instance, a 500-meter magma fall is preferable to a 50-meter one. Now, if you had two 500-meter magma falls..."
decoration of the entrance
underground cottage
massive obsidian hammer + anvil

Also, we don't have anything approaching a hospital. Might want to get on that before badness comes out of the caverns and we start taking casualties.

This looks like it should get entertaining before too long. Any chance I could get dorfed in the military?

Not sure where jwoodwards' at... will have to start posting less due to Latin GCSE upcoming, so if someone wants to takeover admin of this thread, that would be great. If the last manager could also pm jwoodward, that would also be fab, as I am having total radio silence from him. Feel free to post new manager lists, will modify when can.

Well, if nobody else wants it, I still have the save, and could just slap together another year of semiderp. :P

Ho-hum. :-\ It is dennis's turn next, let's skip jwoodward for now, as he is somewhat unforthcoming, and is probably being hunted by the police.

Sending Message and updating post now! But Amperzand, if you've started and done well, who am I to argue, another year is great. But if you haven't, hold your horses!

That's what I figured. No, I wasn't going to start without your go-ahead, or several people cheering me on.
