Follow the dwarf

is there a way i can assign the camera to one dwarf and have it follow him around telling me what he's doing?...i would like to follow the life of one dwarf passively while other stuff is being done.  assign a button to jump back into it if i have to put out a fire

Then again, I consider Infinity to be overly ambitious, something that might easily spell it's downfall.
