Hello friends, there's an amazing tool called PerfectWorldDF, but I cannot find any official repository for user-made maps. Let's make one, I am sure there are people out there which enjoy map making!

I will start with a couple of contributions of my own.

You can download an archive from the DFFD. In order to use such map, either rename the appropriate file to world_gen.txt and replace the one you have in \data\init\ folder (you will have ONLY that map for custom generation) or open the text file, copy all contents and paste them in the end of your world_gen.txt file.

Release 2 is up, it's the modified map of Middle-Earth, originally made by mikefictiti0us and now updated to the new version.

I had a go at perfect world last night and came up with something kinda cool. Had a lot of fun playing with it.

The temperature gets colder the further you go out from the middle and the savagery gets worse as you go out. You may want to edit some of the worldgen prams in game as I turned cavern layers down to 1 and history to 150.

Yep, but when using PW maps or heightmaps pushed through PW, the application has not been updated as the world-tokens and mechancis have gotten more complex for the 47. villian release of the game (like necromancer experiment and werecreature attack limit toggles), you will have to overwrite the world-tokens yourself to keep up so that its in a readable format. PW will probably only be redundant when the core mechanical inputs (that manually edit conditions) have been changed.

A brief instruction on how i recently approached using them on 47. can be found here: Its not a straightfoward process but with some supplied youtube guides you can feel your way through and normalize to it. For the most part, additional input into volcanism isn't as useful as the others unless you have a active interest and understanding of the world you're generating's geology, like putting a lot of igneous extrusive (lavaflow outward) obsidian/basalt/rhyolite around Mordor and Mount Doom on a LOTR map so you can leave it and anything else off.
