It's sort of a "filling in the blanks" thing. We're given no information on who either our or this other character is, and so we're filling in details about them. Such as, he grabbed our butt at some previous point.

Actually, I'm going to partially agree with you and +1 anything involving kitsunes and murder/ritual sacrifice/torture/genocide/etc. when applied together.
