Joining
Download a MUD client (I recommend either Mudlet or Mushclient) and put in the settings that you can see on the website or on this image.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Then just follow the prompts.

Entering The Dwarven Empire
Type "pledge dwarven" once you get into the game for real. This will allows us to enroll you into the Empire. I recommend doing a "who" or "tell [recruiter (listed below)] [message]" to find out if any of us are on and find out more info. After that, without moving, type "transport" until it says that you're at the Eastern Soul Tower. Just wait there and we'll pick you up and take you to Eaglestone, our capital city.

Also, when you get in there will be a prompt and a link to a place to vote for this MUD. Don't forget to vote!

Current Goals & Needs - The Building of Tradesea
High King Thorgrim Stonehammer is proud to announce the founding and building of Tradesea! A capital trading city set near the centre of the world. Soon to be a premier trade port in which any empire can pay for a claim (regardless of their affiliation - or lack thereof - towards The Dwarven Empire). This is to be the floating trading island of the Dwarven Empire.

Here are the tasks we need completing:
  • Claim the ENTIRETY of the island. All of it. Leave not a scrap unclaimed. Old Gosh has some small squares in the north-west, we're negotiating a deal for the transfer of those.
  • Build minecomplexes along all the mountain ranges.
  • Await further instruction.

Completed Goals
  • Finish off mining-wall.
  • Get Seafaring from Empire. (Rympelsen is going for this.)
  • Get Artisans and Luxury from Empire. (Rympelsen is going for this.)
  • Get Shipbuilding and Advanced Shipbuilding from Trade.

About The Dwarven Empire
We're currently the largest empire in terms of members, we're 6th in the rankings overall, we have two cities (Eaglestone and Ironwater) and we need YOU to become the greatest empire you can ever imagine. Are you guys in?

What's the game like?

It's pretty fun. There seems to be a good mix of adventuring gameplay (there are dedicated adventure zones) and empire building.

I've currently set up a small town and all my citizens are wandering around cutting down trees and the like. It's kind of like a more hands on Dungeon Keeper. You yourself can go out and cut down trees and stuff or you can just let your plebians do it (although they do it MUCH more slowly).

If you jump on, send a message to Helbrecht.

Double post for great justice; mudconnect.com actually does have the right version, it just hasn't updated the version info. Go to the site and search for empiremud

It's a text based MUD.

Download a MUD client (I recommend either Mudlet or Mushclient) and put in the settings that you can see on the website or on this image.

Got it figured out; wanted to use an online MUD client because I don't have my regular comp on me at the moment. It wasn't displaying the beta release in the update description, but it actually has it.

How can I join your empire teleport to you?

What's your name in game and where are you at? If you're near the Northern Tower of Souls (the starting place) go to it and type "transport" until it takes you to the Eastern Tower of Souls and wait there for me.

If there is combat and such, it might be fun for the B12 to make their own empire. Again!

There's combat, there's war, there's everything good.
