The theme? Here you go:

Don't mind the content (users, boards, posts) as I was viewing it on a test backup of another forum.</STRONG>

I wonder if you could modify the template so that the title box fits the title image rather than stretched to fit the screen.

It would then look odd in that it didn't line up with the rest of the page.
There is also a bit more content which is hidden in that shot, since I minimized that section (you can see the "+" to the left which would expand it back down).

That's why you center it.  It looks odd right now with all that empty space, more content off screen or not.  The weird-looking menu bar just adds to that.

Avatars are kind of nice, if they were there mine would be this (like it is in many other places:

Signature images are ok to me, but that's your decision.  If there were, then I could have another profession enabled though (making little sig images, :P).

Having the [code] tags available in signatures would be good though.  ASCII art!
(Note: it only takes like 15 minutes to make simple sig images, Skeeblix.)

Any such possible changes to the theme can be discussed when it's in place and everyone has a chance to interact with it themselves.

Err... not really? Unless you are just unused to some of the modern boards, this setup is actually rather clean.

Here's one example of a bloated board.

I like the sneak peek of the new forum. It looks clean and functional. The color is perfect too; dark without being too dark. I can hardly wait to see it in action!

Mount&Blade?

New forum looks good to me. I really like the icons. I had an SMF forum for an MMORPG awhile back, it always worked well. Good luck with the move!

I would like it if there were no 3D effects on the separator lines, like there are none here. But then again, I'm sure I would get used to anything we would switch to and wouldn't notice the difference.

How well does the new forum handle images wider than the user's screen?

It adds horizontal scrollbars where things would otherwise stretch or overflow.

I know this is kind of late, but will the new forum have a built-in expanded keyboard function?  A tool to type letters like Ç æ Å ô ▓ and ╣ right in the reply screen would probably get a lot of use.

Ooo, I like that idea.  Possible?
