Thank you for the pause on load init option! I've wanted that for a long time but kept forgetting to suggest it.

All the rest looks good too, really looking forward to checking out the new depot interface.

Yaaay!  I won't get it just yet, because I still have a world from .33d that I want to build a reasonable fortress on (on .33f).  Then, I can download it and make a new world! :O

Thanks a lot, though!  The new depot screen should be helpful!

Hmm... can't find it in init.txt..

code:
Set this to YES to make Dwarf Fortress start paused whenever you load an active game.

[PAUSE_ON_LOAD:NO]

Somwhere around line 89. Perhaps you're using an old .ini file?

Um, is it compatible with 33f saves/fortresses? Or has there always been a patch compatibility?

PLEASE NOTE: Saves from v0.27.169.32a+ are compatible. See "release notes.txt" for details. World generation takes a long time -- sometimes 20 minutes on 2GHz, and over an hour at 400MHz. Although watching the world unfold can be a worthwhile experience, use one of our pregenerated worlds if you don't want to wait to begin. You can always try world generation later. If you don't want to download the music, get the Small Version (3.0 MB). It is otherwise the same as the full version.

Woot! New trade interface is AWESOME! Thanks, Toady!
Hopefully I won't run into any crippling bugs, now...

I promise to donate eventually. Seriously, I do.

umm, how about being able to find the darn mugs under the Crafts heading in the trading post?  right now i have to look for them under the All heading and surf thru several pages of junk that i would never consider carrying to the depot.

Yeah, there are some missing items, because you can't request them for trade yet.  For now, you can use the typing filter for some of it, though that might not work if you've got everything binned or something.

Instead of making a new topic I'll post the question here.

Exactly what determines sieges and how long SHOULD it usually take for sieges to happen after the requirements are made?
