The Minor Miner bug was an older issue a while back, I thought it got fixed though?

Did you install Gemset yourself or download one of the LNPs?

I'm pretty sure it was due to my attempt to use Gemset 1.41 with DF 42.06.  It's fixed now that I have 42.06 working for me.

Is it okay to include your graphics pack in Lazy Newb Packs?

Maybe PM Dragon, haven't seen him around a lot lately.

It is included in PeridexisErrant's LNP though so the response should be positive.
(Which you probably already know, I stalk that thread too so I've seen you around)

Use the one on the repo for v0.42.06 and v0.43.03. The one linked on the OP is out-of-date.

I tried using these but the multilevel view for TWBT is practically invisible with this tileset. It's rather unfortunate as it looks like a really nice tileset.

Sounds like a personal problem because if works perfectly well for me.  I've been using GemSet since 40.24 and it's my favorite by far.

You can change the multilevel settings to do stuff like make the fog easier to see.

I'm trying to get this working but I have problems with the menu being all gibberish, maybe you guys can give me a heads up on what I did wrong.

What I did:
  • got DF 0.42.02 for linux
  • downloaded dfhack-0.42.06-r1-Linux-gcc-4.8.1 and copied it into the DF folder
  • downloaded twbt-5.61-linux. Not sure what to do with it since there doesn't seem to be clear installation instructions. From reading other comments, I got that I have to copy the content of "0.43.03-r1" into "hack/plugins" and maybe the realcolors.lua into "hack/lua"? Not sure what to do with the other files.
  • copied the content of GemSet v1.41 into the folder
  • execute dfhack, DF starts but the menu is all gibberish

Any reason why you are using Dwarf Fortress v0.42.02? If you are okay with a newer version, the Enay's Linux Lazy Newb Pack should have compatible versions of GemSet, DFHack, and TWBT installed.

You are seeing gibberish because GemSet requires TWBT and TWBT isn't on. TWBT probably isn't on because it requires DFHack and DFHack v0.42.06 isn't compatible with Dwarf Fortress v0.42.02.

Thank you! It worked with version 0.42.06 +dfhack+twbt!

The lazy newb pack for linux doesn't work for me at all (won't start df) but that's another story. I got it working now so I'm happy.

Of course Dwarf Therapist now doesn't work for some reason or another, even though I added the newest memory layouts... urgh. Oh well at least the texture pack looks nice.

This has become my favourite tileset. It looks fine on my 1200p display and the style is clear and wonderful to look at. Thanks :)
