I just checked the population for my current world.

Is it possible to wipe out other races via repeatedly murderating their sieges/ambushes? Because man, the elf population seems really, really low.

Oh, and there's, yet again, a troll in the fortress. Thank you, caverns. SUPER DUPER ULTRA MINER SQUAD GO!

And apparently, the goblins and kobolds are ignoring me. I did look on the map to see if I was neighbors with the goblins, but whatever.

Since it looks like the ice isn't leaving anytime soon, I'm going to try to get the ice out of a brook and decorate the entrance with ice sculptures.

Started my first fortress with the new version.  Nice.

Got a hippy convoy to come visit.  Kinda disappointing.  Only animals were an Ostrich Cock, a Giant Wren and a moghopper.  Nothing lethal  :'( and no cloth whatsoever  but not bad.  I can use the giant eggs and I've got some wild Ostriches I'll try to trap.  But the moghopper is exciting.  Mog juice here I come!  I also was able to buy everything that wasn't useless.  It makes me feel good to not have to prioritize my purchases.

1) can you spoiler that?  Its huge.

2) You should set the bushes alight, too.

3)  I now want to know if it is possible to start a fire with a workshop.  Maybe it itself is set aflame and that spreads?

I'd say cast the entire surface of the map in obsidian.

Since the first migration wave had two losses due to a water buffalo that I brought since it got killed, I went two engrave the 2 slabs and saw that 3 rodent men died somewhere in the caverns. This will be fun down there for some time. The water buffalo got named Numlaltur, WindyCovers.

Holes have appeared in the fabric of the universe.
In my last public fort, I found out that tombs in 34.11 had insides made of nothing.  removing a wall that presumably had other walls behind it left an impenetrable tile that was just there.  However, Channeling the adjacent tile generated a wall of the appropriate type.  You should try forcing the block to update?

Hmm, I wonder if digging out under it would cause 'nothing' to cave in and crush my dwarf. :P I shall experiment a bit.

[EDIT] Hmm, digging an 'r'amp from underneath it does not clear it.

[EDITx2] And when I dug out all the way around and underneath it ... nothing happened. It just floats there.

Now, the more important question:  Can you replicate this to cast an entire fort out of nothingness?

Apparently digging into a cavern makes cave floors grow plump helmets and sweet pods. Interesting.

Lol, maybe. I don't think dwarves like walking on nothingness though. :P

[EDIT] Looks like it's very similar to (possible duplicate of) an old bug
