Karkinos is p cool, too. And ankys and doeds are must for harvesting of course. I wish there were aberrant megalodons though, that cave in the blue zone is absolute murder.

New Ark textures. Aren't they grand?

That's Pixark, right?
So, how is it compared to Ark?

Yeah. I guess my joke wasn't really funny.

It's... basically Ark. It's by the guys who licensed the game from the Ark people, made some changes, and released Dark and Light, which was basically Medieval Ark. They took the game, made some different changes, and released Minecraft Ark.

Engrams, creature taming, building (though foundations and shit are smaller now). Speaking of shit, voxel shit is in as well.

It adds quests (in the form of holographic mailbox things; my first quest was to kill a big mammal of some type) and terraforming. It seems to remove animal harvesting (my pachy couldn't headbutt trees, at least), harvesting different resources using different tools (trees always give wood, no matter if you use your hand, an axe, or a pick), and loading your tames with food (I couldn't put berries in my pachy's inventory; since it can't harvest, I guess I wait until it gets hungry and hand feed it)

Grind? It's Ark with a different coat of paint. You basically know the answer to that already.

Who thought quests in Ark were a good idea? :/

Might as well make a new topic for pixark.

Meh. There's not much to say at the moment, other than "hey look, Ark with voxels".

"hey look, another early access ark"

Still, make a new topic. This one got to tens of pages even while ark was early access.

That actually sounds like a lot of fun, I'd be down for a co-op attempt (as long as my shitty connection is stable enough).

That could be fun! Though the Island seems like it'd pale in comparison to the other maps. They really haven't touched it up very much as far as I'm aware.

Yeah, the Island definitely suffers from being the first map, while it has had some touchups it feels very bland.  It's still very playable, and I don't think of it as a 'bad map' at all, it just lacks the knowledge and familiarity with map design that the devs put into Scorched Earth and Aberration.

If only we had an excuse to stop at the Center/Ragnarok. Hmm, I've yet to try the Center with my Aberration tames...
