It exists. I don't know if that counts as "us" having it, but it exists.

Indeed, there is even rule 63 of all of them, as well as combined 63 and 34. So much nopeing out of there when I ran across that.

I wish they'd return to the glory days of XCOM.

Nothing to start.

The people who made the Long War mod should be the ones making the new XCOM game... They actually get what made XCOM great.

I think you want the X-com 1 thread, (or just attention, obviously).
I could go on about how cool Apocalypse was and how X-COM 1 and 2 were very different and in some ways better than NewCOM.  I could bring up the great recent remakes which are much more true to those originals, or the remakes that (like NewCOM) expanded the mechanics in different directions.

But we've been over all that so many times, this isn't even the right thread, and you're not even putting any effort into this.

I've never played an XCOM game, so I have no idea which ones are better. The old ones look pretty neat, but so do the newer ones.

Both good IMO, just in vastly different ways. But yeah, not the place to be discussing this.

I even dug up a link to the XCOM thread because I'm so nice. You're adding literally nothing new, but at least now you can do it in the right thread.

Excuse us for not being too civil, but this conversation topic is like the 2nd most frequent in this thread (after snake mammaries).

FAKEEDIT: well, ninjad, but oh well.

I'd just like to point out that criticism of the new XCOM is still relevant to the thread. Nowhere does it say that all discussion on the new XCOM has to be positive.

People's comments, feelings and thoughts do not become inherently more valuable for being positive about the game. This is a discussion thread, not an altar to lay worship down on the new XCOM and Firaxis Games.

If you feel positive about the new XCOM then that's great. Please don't try to silence people with legitimate criticisms regarding the design direction of the game or dismiss them as attention seekers or trolls.
