My most successful adventurer back in 0.34 was completely melted. Told him to lay down in a campfire and then cooled him off in the nearby stagnant water pool. Repeatedly. That guy felt no pain  8)

My current dwarven adventurer has no fat, but that's because of a dragon and then later a plains titan with fire.
