Fantasy Police: OOC Starting (6/6)

Fantasy Police

Two thousand years ago, the War of the Gods raged throught the planet of Berichel.  With no race, creed or code showing any sign of making headway in it's four thousand year length the various gods began to grow desperate to stop the cycle of death.  Finally, as a show of force and as an attempt to end the war in their favor, Werecu and J'ttr, gods of destruction and technology respectively, created the Divinity Bomb that they claimed could kill all of the gods.  The bomb was immediately stolen by Fiet, a goddess of thieves and in a panic gave it to her sister Teria a goddess of peace.

It worked better than anticipated.  The instant that Teria activated the bomb, all divine power throughout the planet disappeared, whether or not it just banished the gods or slew them outright is unknown.  The true casualty of this however, was the death of all divine enchantment,  Heroes fell, monsters weakened, machines ground to a halt, blades dulled, pocket dimensions opened .  In essence, four thousand years of technology based on the divine was destroyed in a heartbeat.

What followed was another hundred years of war, this time emphasizing alchemical magitech, that finally came to a close when a small group of wizards, operating alone and without the knowledge of their kin, separated Berichel into nine dimensions, each favoring a single major race.  Their magic wasn't perfect however, and the area surrounding the tiny Village of Pranav, where the spell was cast from, became the primary point of unity between the dimensions.

After executing the traitorous wizards, the various races sat down and considered the blessing that they had just been granted.  While there were still internal squabbles amongst their own, they had almost an entire world to themselves, and so the idea of peace was put forward, bureaucratically shot in the head for about four hundred years, as armies laid seige to and staged raids from Pranav, and finally agreed upon in 554 ADB.

Pranav has since become the center of cultural exchange and is home to the interdimensional governing body the Dimensional League  ((more on that if you want)).  As it has grown the village became a town, a city, and now a major metropolis, rivaling the cities across the dimensions in size, population, and of course... crime.  Old wounds still fester and there is always a great deal of tension throughout the city, from gangs, to racists to corporate espionage.

This is where you come in, lovely people who would have been adventurers in another life.  What were once the village's militia and then the town guard have become a fully fledged police force dedicated to the safety and security of all.  There is much to be done to keep this city safe.  The people of Pranav and all of Bardichel are counting on you, brave heroes.

--A message from the Dimensional League to the Pranav police force

30. I wrote it down, then realized it was in bold, changed it and somehow forgot to put 30 back in.

Name- Alex "The Brute" Connor
Gender- Male
Race- Human
Stats- 10 endurance, 10 CQC, 5 charisma, 5 intuition
History- Alex has never cared for criminals or law breaking, he only sees any form of law breaking as the evil in a person coming out. This chain of thought came from a rather ruff childhood that made him want to stop violence and crime. He is a strong human standing tall, he has short brown hair, short/scraggly facial hair, blue eyes, and light tan skin

The Chief:  The Paravian police force is currently chiefed by K'rrc an Infernal of formerly high stature and possessed of a fearsome reputation.  He is noted for being the sole source of approximately 50% of the Police force's regulations regarding the treatment of prisoners.  It is, for instance, his fault that the consumption of a prisoner, their belongings or their corpse is explicitly written in the guide manual.  In his years in the force however, he has developed incredible skill with paperwork, and he has mellowed significantly and he now does his best to run a clean ship.  Physically, he appears to be an entwined mass of Centipedes perpetually consuming some ancient and assorted mass of flesh.  Most all non-infernals try to avoid talking to him, as it quickly becomes uncomfortable, however, he attempts to talk and act like a father figure... it doesn't really work though.

The Job: All PC's have been with the force long enough and are considered dedicated enough to be detectives.  You will be spending a great deal of time interrogating NPCs and investigating crime scenes, usually culminating in a chase, shootout, or beatdown.  Standard issue equipment for Detectives includes:
3 Uniforms- Alchemically treated to resist bullets or blades
1 set of Body armor
1 Alchemical Pistol mark 13 - a modular pistol designed specifically for the Pranav police force.  It is designed to fire alchemical rounds, most often stun pellets.
Baton/Stun baton-self explanatory.
Free Alchemical treatment for all civilian clothing.

If there are any requests for backstory, please let me know.

Name:Baldur the horror
Gender: Male
Race:Undead
History: What Baldur was before, noone knows. What we do know is who Baldur is now. Baldur is a ghoul, a rotting creature who has agility comparable to a vampire but none of the good looks and charm. It's speech is distorted by many horrible coughs only to eventually reveal a low pitched raspy voice. Naturally, Bladur doesn't like to talk much.

Baldur was in the force since it was still a local militia, tracking down the most notorious thieves over long distances by the scent of their flesh alone. A lot have things have changed over the years. Baldur has witnessed the militia grow into a town guard and then police force. He's seen the transition from good old fashioned lynching to sophisticated investigations, but most disappointingly, Baldur has seen the day when stun batons replaced good old fashioned hack&slash. Baldur rarely talks about these things, partially due to his rotting brain and partially due to his speech impediment.

A relic of the past, Baldur still sticks around mostly because of his status and because frankly, what other jobs can a ghoul do?

Stats: 30 Points to be allocated.
CQC:12
RW: 0
Magic: 0
Endurance: 10.
Intuition: 8
Charisma:0

You can fake being able to run on water. You can't fake looking cool when you break your foot on a door and hit your head on the floor.

What are the laws on using force during interigatons? Such as beating a person's head against a table to get them to talk or breaking their knees for info
