Invading a goblin town
« on: December 05, 2007, 10:43:00 pm »

I created 7 combat dwarves and started on top of a goblin fortress.  But I can't seem to get my dwarves to do anything.  I've got them all in a squad in military mode, but when I try and station them inside a goblin building, even one with a seemling open door, my dwarves don't move very for before stopping.

Is this just not a feasible thing to do or am I just going about it the wrong way?

Set up a 'p'atrol route that'll take them inside the goblin fort and they'll head in there.

Be advised that patrol routes have to have at least two points. The first time you press 'p', it won't show up as a route. I'd set up one patrol point in front of my fort, then one inside the goblin fort.
