Making a world of candy mod.
« on: July 13, 2015, 10:31:55 pm »

I've been struck by an idea of a mod that turns everything in the world into food. Think the candy race world in Wreck it Ralph.

This thread is so I have a place to stick all my ideas for it while I work on it.

Candy cane trees, also cotton candy trees.

Not sure if snow can be made into frosting.

Dwarfs can make cake at a furnace. That means all the ingredients need to be available somewhere.

That would be fun. I had a few attemps at a world made of cake with hot caramel (magma) for stuffing and animals like gummy bears, but never finished it. If you can pull this through. it is going to be amasing.

Why not a adventure time mod?

Interestingly, the candy conversion theme gets brought up every 2 years or so and then never become a thing.

I remember a really old mod that used this. Link. You may be able to get some ideas from it.

Huh. Not what I expected.
I was picturing a world of adamantine from the thread title.
You could have candy weapons (candy cane staffs, rock candy swords, etc...)

I thought you meant Adamantine.

Would it be possible to make all of these things actually edible, or would it just be a log of wood called a "candy cane log"?

I think adding the EDIBLE_RAW tag to every single material template would do the trick.
