Should I abolish Tokens and just give the checkpoints the ability to do things via 1d6?

As in, players choose what they want to do or get at a checkpoint, then roll 1d6 for it, 3 times. Yes.
No, let's keep tokens in.
Checkpoints should only get 1 1d6 roll to them, not 3. Otherwise, yes.

"Well we're in quite a pickle."

"Well, Null, that's true enough- our game shows aren't working out. Most of them, anyway."

"When was the last time we ran a Wacky Death Race?"

"Brilliant. Let's start the design process for... Omega I believe would be a good name."

Thus Wacky Death Race Omega was born.

Okay. You've probably heard of the Wacky Death Race games. Well here's one more(hopefully one that won't take too much work).

Okay. Three phases- plus the End. That is how it shall be.
6 players for those three phases.

Once six have signed up, the Preparation Phase will begin.

Once all that's done, get to the Race Phase.

At a relay station, players can spend their Tokens(acquired at a stipend at each Relay Station(the stipend is 10 Tokens)) to buy fuel, hire new crewmen, purchase food and special items, repair their vehicle, and otherwise refresh themselves.

Currently, for game one, no air vehicles(nor space) will be allowed.

Suggestions for items to be purchased at the Token Shop(at the Relay Stations) can be given and will most likely be processed.
During any turn in the Preparation Phase, you may spend some of your starting Tokens(25) at the Token Shop. You do not need rolls to get things from the Token Shop. These things can be acquired with rolls as well, just not as reliably.

Name: Toaster
Gender: Dude
Age: 30 or so. Hard to tell any more.
Appearance: A scraggley dude with a faraway look in his eyes. Covered in cat scratch scars, and has a tendency to fade in and out of reality.
Backstory: After the causal disaster that was the Paradox and the catsplosion of the Buttered Toast Cat Array, no one is exactly sure why Toaster is allowed to even race. Regardless, he somehow got a permit and is ready to try again.

Considering Null has the habit of kidnapping various personages from various universes, it's not too much of a stretch to imagine a pirate racer.

1. Hm. A two-way race? Well why not. I'll edit it into the OP.
2. I'll start with the racetrack I already have. Others might be too complex for me at the moment.
3. NPC racers? That would be too much for me.

Name: Talisman
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown, 20-28
Appearance: He is slightly over average height, and thin. Years of experience flying have sharpened his reflexes, so he's constantly alert.
Backstory: Being an ace pilot, while this race doesn't yet have planes, he still thinks its a good idea to join. Not much is known about his history, but he served as a captain in the Emmerian air force.
Accepted. Now we're waiting for monday or poketwo.

It's funny when you have half of people going around the circuit in the right way and the other half in the opposite way. And people driving a car and carrying the finish flag getting their cars annilhated and their flag stolen. In fact, the latter is the concept on racing in my Wacky Death Race.
