Basic hydrogen is quite impractical for weapons use. If you wanted an extremely simple fusion-assisted bomb, it'd need tritium involved. For proper thermonukes, you'll want lithium deuteride.

Edit: Fusion, not "fision"  :V

Even if we do have the knowledge, on the computer thingy and in peoples heads, we would STILL need many iteration of machines to make finer machines to make finer machines to make things of sufficient precision that the whole reactor doesn't just kill us all. And my dwarf WILL be working on zeppelins, as soon as we have the electricity to break down water and create hydrogen, which will be provided by the dam, and a safe place to work without the risk of the roof falling in, which I am working on now I believe.

Yep. Actually, as of the next update- whenever the hell I have the brainspace to write it, holy shit busy -, the fort is as repaired as you'll get it, not counting the pile of indeterminate rubble that is the facade. If you want to build a bunker somewhere with undamaged stone, you can.

I could do the machines-that-make-smaller-machines thing. I might be able to work out something that gives me a head start, which gets rid of the annoying early parts and allows me to jump ahead quite far. Hmm....Thermo-nuclear tactical zeppelins, anyone?
