Assist in the slaying of the chicken. Use my new sword.

[6 vs 1] You throw yourself against the chicken, bloodying the mysterious weapon by plunging it into the chickens large and plump chest. A pink mist issues forth, and after shielding your eyes you find that the chicken has violently exploded upon the impact with the sword. Chunks of burnt chicken breast line the floors and corners of the building.

Inside the newly-formed chicken corpse you see a human leg, clothed in green pants and wearing a brown leather shoe. It seems still attached to something deeper within the chicken corpse.

Rob Grey, AKA Spiderking50
Luck: 2/12
Traits:
Master of Tomes: You are able to find Words hidden in any book, so long as you roll successfully
Master of Battle: If you change a character's physical status this turn, get +2 Luck. If you don't, lose 1 Luck.
Spoiler: Dictionary (5 words) (click to show/hide)
Inventory:
Ambivalent Edge: A strange sword that sometimes glows. When glowing, attacks generate 1 Entropy and vaporize target material.
Status:
1 Entropy

Smiles, "Of course,"

I'm not too familiar with chicken anatomy but perhaps I can inflict damage with a random stab.

Stab chicken with Estoc [4]. Assign rest of luck to defense.

For a prince it is always import to lean towards a strong defense until he can adapt to the patterns and movements of his foe.

"This chicken is far more agile than I had hoped. If you see an opening perhaps you could lend me a hand."

(Automatic 2 because chicken is dead: 4-2) Rob runs at the chucken and stabs it without so much as a word. At this point you had adopted perfect martial poise and stood ready to counterstrike against the animal.

But all you can do now is stand and watch in disappointment as ribbons of fried chicken fall from the air. Rob pulled out this strange glowing sword that may have just caused the chicken to explode. An explosion-blade.

Gained [5] Luck from not stabbing chicken (net gain: 3 Luck)

Raioyris Carolean, AKA Wunderkatze
Luck: 9/12
Traits:
Princely Wisdom: Gain 1 Luck at the end of each turn if you have less than 6 Luck
Prodigial Son: Each item you buy or sell costs 1 Luck
Inventory:
Estoc: Sharp and good for stabbing, but lacks a cutting edge. (Upgrade: 2 Luck + material)
Mellowtov x4: Does not deal damage, but can ignite flammables. Can be upgraded for free with a 'fuel' item.
Throwing Knife: Shifts damage roll down for melee strikes, up for thrown attacks. (Upgrade: 1 Luck + material)
Doctor's Knife x2 (Upgrade: 1 Luck + material)
Reinforced Knifebar: Gives you +1 to persuasion when used, but may provoke combat (Upgrade: 1 Luck + material)
Status:
Almost encumbered: Adding another large weapon or heavy item to your inventory will incur a Luck cost to all actions.

"So you don't know about this glyph, right?"
Go outside if the guy doesn't go outside right now, if he did, follow him.

"I do not. I will do my best to study them and try to discern their meaning beforehand, however." says Galloway.

The other knights (but not Galloway) slowly get up, one by one, getting their gear together and putting on their backs. Soon the captain organizes them into two squadrons with the goal of recovering personnel after the battle. The knights shall disperse into the city and emerge from different locations in order to mask the location of the hideout.

You step outside and hear some kind of explosion from the middle of the city, toward your right. Toward your left, you see a giant artificial plateau near a solitary tavern on a hill. Beyond the tavern is a heated battle, where knightly formations thrust aside legions of skeletons. A large sparkdrive-powered contraption leads the charge, equipped with a cow-catcher fitted to deal with the undead.

Ryan Fardes, AKA H4zardZ1
Luck: 6/12
Traits:
Shrewd Negotiator: People are always willing to talk to you.
Intricate Webweaver: You can plot actions ahead of time. If you perform this action one turn later, you receive +2 Luck per action.
Non-Confrontational: Rolls targeting you gain +1 to their value. (7's become Super Overshoots)
Inventory:
Glyph Manual: Contains some unusual glyphs that don't resemble Words.
Double-Barreled Shotgun (loaded)
Candle
Status:
Glowing Handprints

The bald guy seems to be missing. The shady guy that just helped you out also seems to be missing.

Desiccatus Morbid, AKA Cheesecake
Luck: 6/12
Traits:
Elusive: When an NPC has never seen you, his Alertness to you is reduced by 1
Creative: Performing an action using medical equipment gives +2 Luck
Reclusive: Actions targeting other people cost 2 Luck, unless *ahem* something else is speaking for you (money, a knife, etc).
Spoiler: Dictionary (5 words) (click to show/hide)
Status:
Burnt/Doused Bottom: A rather awkward injury. Dodging attacks will cost 1 Luck if it requires you to move your whole body
Sprained Foot: Running away incurs a -1 to the die (cannot roll 6's anymore)

"Well that worked out perfectly. He didn't even get to his monologue."

Look around for any sign of a stealthy get-away by the pillar man.

You circumscribe the plateau, looking past to see if the bald man was perhaps one of the enemy, retreating back to his protective formation.

[6] However, you are ambushed! You hear Words being spoken behind you, and suddenly you hear the sound of fracturing rock. Looking back, a fault in the ground is propagating your way.

Varl Kantor, AKA HighEndNoob
Luck: 8/12
Traits:
xDreadcloakx: -1 Luck cost per turn for staying hidden
xDarkbladex: All stealth attack targets (including Cautious ones) roll a 1 for defense
xJokerx: Lose 2 Luck whenever you are attacked
xSinisterx: Bartering NPC's get a +1 to their dice rolls
Implements:
Bronze Knife (1 Luck + material needed to upgrade)

"An explosive blade? Or was the giant chicken rigged? Or perhaps the chicken had high blood pressure and you hit an artery."

Wipes chicken blood off face.

"I have never heard of a rigged chicken, (much less so of a giant chicken I suppose). And I doubt the last of my guesses."

Jumps off from position on wall and walks towards the slayer of the chicken.

"I guess that makes you the owner of a explosion inducing sword."

What an unsightly struggle. Not what I would have preferred for my premier fight.

"Indeed. It is a strange weapon, I recently discovered it, but I cannot dwell upon its power now. There seems to be something inside the corpse, a disgusting concept, but I need your help removing it."

Remove the person from within the chicken. Cast mend/endless/touch/blast if they are alive and need healing.

Assist in pulling the man out of the chicken.

The man slides out with a sickening, slick noise. He comes to immediately, and despite being inside a giant chicken his skin shows no signs of acid burns, or even teeth marks for that matter.

Chicken Victim: I must thank you both for getting me out of there! I truly believed those were my last moments... that monster just came out of nowhere. As for what I am doing here, you might ask, I am a travelling strategist of course! I walk from battle to battle and observe what works. I lead mercenary bands from time to time as they come and go, but as of now I am jobless. Did someone send you here?

The man wears a green trenchcoat and a gold pendant with three parallel lines. The hilt of a sword peeks out from behind the open center, as does an animal skull on a keychain hanging from his belt.

It then travels around the group of guards like a boomerang. It (5) Slits another throat, (Three 6's in a row!) decapitates three more (!), (4) slices open the last guard's arm, and (2) narrowly misses a random bystander. It then flies back into your hand. Holy crap.

Swallowed by a chicken? He sounds like a liability.

"I will go check the explosion, ok?"
Go to the center of the city.

You go out into the city amongst the rubble and destroyed buildings. All around you are remnants of a tremendous slaughter from long, long ago. It took many lives, but this city was finally taken back just last week after one of the four necromancers leading the occupation force died in an accident. He was revived, they said, but by then he had already lost his Inner Spark.

Stumbling out into a marketplace, you notice a building surrounded by droplets of bloody flesh. Tiny rivulets of blood seep out from beneath the door. The building's roof is open, but the walls stand high.

Jump to the side of the fracture and turn to meet my foe.

[4 vs 2] You leap away with a swift display of acrobatics, although you catch a glimpse of the darkness within. The cavern extends quite deep. Such a thing would most surely cause an earthquake!

Your foe is the bald man on the tower from before. He claps his hands and closes the fracture again, creating a great pressure wave and a booming sound that throws you away [5 vs 5], although you manage to keep your footing.

The attacker takes out a book and begins reading through frantically while backing away.

I'd rather he didn't know my surname, he seems like the kind that would spread such information all around.

"We are wandering from about, I'm afraid that is all I have to say to you."

Opens door and escorts chicken victim to doctor's office.

"Come with me sir, I know of a place with running water."

Sees Ryan and notices Jasper's shotgun. Strange...

"Hello sir, would you mind assisting us in aiding this poor gentleman here, he is quite shook up."
