Avery Mind(4+1=5) For the moment, the pull of the hunger is lessened. Avery staggers off, out a door in the room, out into Nevermore Castle. "Maybe you should have just killed him."
Avery Luck(6) Avery staggers into a large library style area, after some time. The first book he picks off the shelf is a book on necromancy.

"May I help you?" There appears to be a... secretary? With magical crystal wings? Asking for his attention.

Igor loots the Pulse Pistol, then invokes Life Leech on Mr. Banker. (Igor Mind(3-1=2)vs.Mr. Banker Mind(4)) Igor can't seem to get a mental grip on Mr. Banker's life force.

Mr. Banker and The Roach(plus The Troll) act at the same time! (Mr. Banker Speed(5+1=6)vs. The Roach(6+1=7) and The Troll(3-1=2)) Mr. Banker is off on a dash- then he feels something grab the back of his expensive suit. The Troll and The Roach are right behind him! (The Troll(5-1=4)vs. Mr. Banker(3-1=2)) (The Troll(3+1=4)vs. Mr. Banker(4)) Sucker punch! Wealth Fu defense! No effect! (The Roach(5-1=4?)vs. Mr. Banker(5-1=4)) (Mr. Banker Luck(6)) Mr. Banker blocks the Roach's initial strike and counterattacks with Wealth Fu! (Mr. Banker(3+1(wealth fu)=4)vs.The Roach(6+1=7)) Unfortunately for the practitioner of Wealth Fu, The Roach is just as agile as his namesake.

The door suddenly shudders and flies back, past Avery. The secretary is unfazed as Nowhere steps through, wielding a shotgun with magic runes carved on it. "Well, it looks like I gave Null the slip and got here first. The contest is mine!" Avery notices that the shotgun is glowing. And it's pointed right at him. Crystals seem to be growing up around the bookshelves(likely some sort of protection).

Avery Dexterity(6) Avery feels that his body has been... reset by the zombieification. His mind still receives its bonus, anyway. Avery quickly executes a backflip, landing behind one of the crystals, just as it finishes sealing the bookshelves.

"SERENADE!!!"

"Oops. Give me a minute."

The crystals begin to retract.

The crystals finish retracting... but Avery Zombie is already running. "Stay still, blast you!" (Nowhere(3) vs. Avery Protagoniste(4)) A shotgun blast nearly strikes Avery, instead striking (Avery Luck(3)) The floor next to him. Avery continues his flight, looking for weapons. Avery Luck(3) This is a library. There are no weapons here! Avery hears grumbling from behind him as Nowhere runs to catch up. Book grabbed, book thrown. (Avery Protagoniste(5) vs. Nowhere Nevermore(3)) The book strikes him. (Avery Protagoniste(2) vs. Nowhere Nevermore(4)) The book is promptly batted away.

Still throwing books at him while I run, look for a section on science or magic, and if I can find a large ball of ice and some thermite. (Look up "Exploding ice" to figure out what I am trying to do)
