That's actually rather clever :)  Now we just have to seal it off and add a means of dumping combatants in there.

The first match-up?

Chapter 4: Oh Crap It Flies!

We have a good start for winter when Endo smokes finished a baggy.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
--

So I already told you about the bear and the boar last fall autumn.  Well, that happened after Captain Olon grilling me because I’ve been slacking in training.  Anyway, I’m supposed to prove to her I can make a killing steal, still.  First, I got an e-z kill.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

7th Moonstone
That was some thirsty work so I went to get a refill on drinks, and got some carrot wine.  This whole ordeal get me going so I tell Olon, “hey captain, I got one.”

Captain Olon smirks, “yeah, that was like stealing candy from a babe.”

“I was just warming up. I bet you a kiss for each kill more.  What ya say?”

Olon looks at me lustfully, “And I bet you a hammering if you don’t kill three.”

“You got a bet!” I left, humming Cool It Now” by New Edition, and scope out the area until I find my targets…
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
--

Anyway, I would have just let winter wind itself down to a crawl, but Olon's kisses charged me up to a manic state!

While building the silver stairs on the west side of the project, I looked around for things the idlers can do.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

*cues music* *deep base* On the 22nd of Moonstone, early winter morning, the southern hills tremble.

The Mountain Titan Izeg has come.  A gigantic three-eyed pterosaur. It has a knobby shell and it has a regal bearing.  Beware its fire!

The ranking officers of the militia are all in agreement that we’re not waiting this out.

Everyone has orders to charge immediately!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Oh, crap, it flies!

Sodel, the Xbow Captain, is first to engage the Mountain Titan hovering up in the air.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Several more silver bolts pelted the Mountain Titan to the point of it crashing to the ground.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

*action cam* Sodel avoids the cone of fire.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

*action cam* Hammer Tun patiently waits in position to begin the tanking phase.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Sodel moves to position in the rear for maximum range damage.  Tun bravely blocks the fire breath with his shield.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

*throw more dots* *more dots* *come on more dots* (Onyxia wipe link)

The battle rages the entire day against the Mountain Titan with only Hammer Tun and Xbow Sodel.  The rest of the militia are still a distance away in Constructivory towers when a new day breaks.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

This is a clash against a Mountain Titan, but the ferocity of dwarves are greater.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Between Tun and Sodel, these mighty duo chip away at the Mountain Titan.  The snow covered silt now smolders.  Fire and smoke billows with the winds of winter, cutting off direct paths from the rest of the militia in Constructivory.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

In the end, Tun returns back to his passions of wood crafting.  It was only appropriate for Tun to bless his silver war hammer with a worthy a name for his and its first kill.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
--

The rest of winter passes in peace thanks to the bravery of Tun and Sodel.

I have moments of sobriety, and so I made use of my remaining time in a more productive manner.  Something to perhaps add quality in the life here in Constructivory.   Pillars around the stairs toward the mason’s quarry.  Sections for animals and cages.  Continued gathering of flux stones to convert our iron into steel.  This includes exploitation of the woods by gathering plants and felling trees to make charcoal.  And steel armor sets are on order.

But really, I just wanted a drink back in spring, so I’m content with meeting my agenda of 5k booze.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The stairs made of silver on the west side of the maze is completed with some generous use of gold bars in the end.  I added a dog watch tower southeast of “The Cat.”

A tree sprouted in the middle finger of “the Stick Man” so I had the gold pillars taken down to pave its floors with limestone.

I contemplate on what I’ve done, and the world tells me this, in the  last image as the new year turn.

Motha-pimpin' military-drinkin' Sanctume finishes the turn in 3 days. What. WHAT. You should get an achievement for that. The irony of having a tombful of ghosts in a Pac-Man maze is not lost on me either. :D Bravo, Sanctume, bravo. Imic, you have the keys.

That was fun.  I only had one ghost and would have been fun to leave it, but the maze turns out to be good for coffins and slab being the back side yard  of the chapel.

Soap is a mystery.  Taupe, the manager, orders them fine but too many people complaining from lack of lye or tallow.  I'm sure there were crundle soap left.

I do think you need to make food and drink stockpile somewhere up there if you plan to build up because most of the time, my workers seems to be hungry / thirsty after 1 haul from below, and there is traffic bottle neck up the 2 towers of The Bell.

I bet the 3x3 stairs on the west side would make it faster if you put food/drink stockpile on the roof of the maze, and building blocks/bars for the rest.

And a royal quarters.

imic's heart pounded with happiness. He had never been this honored in his life! but enough stalling, he got to work.

So much win!!  Seriously Sanctume, nicely done.  I daresay this has been the most sensible Overseership that Constructivory has seen in quite some time, and that's considering your Tower project was the Pacman maze, lol.

Make it so.
bwahahaha :D  We must not forget that his majesty Japa is ultimately the one in charge here.  All hail!

He was crowned after politely pointing out that his wife was a Werebeast specialised in torture. We shouldn't displease the guy.
