40.24 force dig?

What is the solution to force dig warm/wet stone without the designation stopping in the current version?

The data/init/announcements.txt File.

Find the lines that say DIG_CANCEL_WARM and DIG_CANCEL_DAMP, and remove the ":P" from each. The came will no longer pause when digging is canceled due to damp/warm stone.

Bonus Tip: Find the BIRTH_CITIZEN line and remove ":R", to prevent it from re-centering when it announces a birth.

I know about this already. My question is how to stop the actual cancellation so I don't have to designate one tile at a time when I know the digging is safe.

Does that stop Dwarves from canceling mining when they hit damp stone?

Yeah, the undesignation AFAIK happens on reveal-by-digging, which won't happen when the tiles are revealed.
