Kazoo's furrier's workshop 42.05

A small mod that enables dwarves to make fur clothing. I made this out of frustration in regards to how dwarven clothing lacked nuance and felt as if dwarves were just clad in an assortment of animal leathers. So by reducing the propensity for dwarves to wear leather clothing, and adding fur to make leather more interesting i'm hoping to create more realistic clothing.

Features:
  • Fur can tanned at a Furrier's workshop.
  • Fur and leather output are now directly proportionate to animal size.
  • Animals that have no fur, such as elephants, will only be able to provide leather.

Leather and fur can now only be used to create the following:
If you're not ok with this, simply don't replace the item raws.

Feel free to do what you please with this mod, if there are any issues please let me know.

I am aware of the inability for dwarves to automatically tan things, i'm working on it.

Vanilla Download 42.05
Modest plugin Download 42.04

Updated for 42.05, I've yet to test it, but parchment output should in theory be proportional.

At first thought this was going to be a Furry fandom mod from just reading the title, but after reading a bit I found out this mod just adds a replacement to leather. Nice work.

In older version of Wanderer's friend and in Genesis iterations there was fur as a type of weak leather, also with suede, hide and scale.
Do you plan to add more variety to leather types and change the material toughness based on the animal type? That would be a great expansion.

I'm intrigued by this mod. Would you kindly clarify this statement?

Does installing this break this functionality, then? Is the new fur just not automatic? Is there any chance of fixing this?

Thanks again.
