why are my people stashing goods in a corpse stockpile

hey all i was just wondering. i am in a terrifying biome next to a joyous wilds, in the terrifying biome it is a zombie land. so i have lost a couple of dwarves, now my question is, i have a corpse stockpile setup in the good side of the map and my dwarves have started stockpiling items in my corpse stockpile instead of corpses

Check the settings on the corpse stockpile in the Q menu. I've fatfingered stockpile settings a lot.
