Working on the ship.  Making a blueprint style drawing, so it's taking a bit.  Any thoughts of what people want to see in the reboot?

...if possible have it so that some weapons are less... limited in usable situations. Mostly ballistics. It does not make too much sense for ballistics to be one trick ponies.

Could you point to where I said something along those lines?  As Taricus said, there's nothing in the OP on that.

I'm actually going to allow that guns are able to be fired on a ship without fucking things up, so that's not as bad of a problem.
as something along the lines of "guns cant be fired on a ship without fucking things up" way back when.

That, and you'd need a lot of high-calibre rounds to punch through a starship hull. Especially with starship to starship combat being a thing.

That depends alot on the specifics of haw space combat is done, but more importantly if the whole ship is armored or if its just the outer skin. Also, not somuch high calliber as high velocity. Most AP rounds are of a lower calliber than what fires them.

Given the structural integrity of such a vessel, it's not a question of armour as it is mass. A tiny little round doesn't have much capacity to really harm 'hard' targets.

Depends on how fast its going(say, .2c retaliative velocity), but Im less concerned about the whole ship blowing up than something important now having a hole in it.

Got the OP rewritten, Crew Positions updated (going to be running with 8 crew in the new game), and the ship specifications updated.  Thoughts/commentary before I post the new thread?  It's nearly 2 AM where I am, so what I currently think of as good may be a bit warped, so please point out what seems to be off or could be improved.

Well, we could use a dedicated pilot rather than sticking those roles onto the captain and first officers. And maybe make one of the ground forces a squad leader or something.

Yep. Perhaps also give people the option of "buying" gear, since you currently have point costs for jobs.
