Anyone know if there's a way to name one of my dwarves Don Cornelius?

You can always nickname him that in the menu you get to from hitting p I think and then hit z. I am not looking at it at the moment so I cannot say exactly.

Not so much a world as a fortress, but once I fiddled around and added some words, among them "time" to the language files. Some while later, I learn that I have gotten a hammerer named, you guessed it, Urist Hammertime.

I promptly started having dwarves assigned ridonkulous amounts of hammerings (20ish). In reality the court gave out 5 or 6, but he was just too legit to quit. *badum-ksh!*
