Highly doubtful. Point of difference between that and Shielding is that it won't save you if the net damage exceeds your HP. Which of course, is to say that you should consider having an upgrade or Passive that cannibalizes Shielding before damage calculations when being struck with Pure. A pre-emptive heal of sorts.

EDIT: To clarify, I mean it is highly doubtful that Pure Damage by itself would negate it, short of dropping the character with the hit or having some additional heal-jamming effect.

Actually, it's far easier to just have a Deep Pass style Action that converts damage to Pure rather than doubling it. It was even approved for Alanis to use already. It means that you could have a Support character perform it, instead of making everyone pack RES-piercers or Pure at the cost of reduced power just in case a foe has a Kinetic Shell or something.

Fish, you might want to take Shade's recommendation then. A Kinetic Shell Minion with HP equal to normal Kinetic Shell, and no Actions other than automatically taking hits for the person it's applied to.

Assuming of course, Elf doesn't decide to crack down on such summons by disallowing such actions or making people take damage from their summons being destroyed.

That wasn't a new idea. That was literally one of the constructs you rejected earlier this week. I was just suggesting that he heavily nerf it in line with Shade's suggestions to making it function solely as a shield. Plus you could rule that any damage to it beyond 0 HP hits Alanis anyway.

Though in hindsight, that would be equivalent to asking whether or not a Perk could force Pure damage to go damage its way through shielding.
