Solon Boundroom finally succumbed from his fasting of misery. According to his greiving widow, he had had an idea for an artifact on the journey from their previous home, but with no way to create it, he had sunk into a depression that had only grown greater after he had arrived. He will be buried in the graveyard after a short service.
While excavating the deeper portion of the public pool, Uzolo the Miner accidentially struck an aquifer and drowned before he could swim back to the shallow end. He will be buried in the graveyard after a short service.
Loria Problemseeds attempted to swim too close to the deep end and was also found soon after, drowned. Mayor Kadol has ordered the area off limits until a solution can be found.
(Later) After much engineering and the installation of both an overflow pump and a tiny waterfall, The Musical Pool (Renamed Problemseeds, The Pool) is now open for enjoyment once more!
Adili the glassmaker attempted to make a green glass artifact, but unfortunately, was unable to complete it, so she succumbed to a fatal depression.
