We'll stay here for now. We need to gather supplies if we want to survive in this wasteland.
Posting an action might be useful, not that I'll have time for an update tonight anyhow.

Attempt to find something useful, especially food or a water source.

Attempt to find something useful, especially food or a water source.
You find a dead body near the very end of the valley. It is naked but for a loincloth, and clutches a gold piece.

Water... might want to try the burbling spring for that. You don't really need to eat just now, though.

Shamble over to the spring. Keep an eye out for amphibians and lizards.
Lizards... alright. Nope, but the stream looks like it might contain a tadpole or two further down. The spring gurgles in the gentle shade of a few olive trees, but is pretty much unremarkable.

"De Ignibus Caelestibus shall provide."
Search for water sources, herbs, and fruit. Preferably non-poisonous.
The spring to the right and ahead, maybe halfway down the valley, is a fine water source. It's not olive season, and all you can find are weeds and inedible grasses.

"A nice place, but obviously not as full of science as people like us like, so let's press on.
Keep an eye out for things to perform science on, as well as things to requisition. Including small edible animals.
You manage to catch a squirrel, certainly not by stepping on it accidentally or anything. Some sticks and a smooth pebble from the spring are also seized in the name of science... this is not a particularly intriguing place.

Christina shakes her head. "A paradise this is not, but the Vindicate may gift the ingredients to our ascent."
Look around for materials to make a basic tool. We're talking 'flint strapped to a stick by woven grass". If there's any, make it.

"The odds of randomly stepping on squirrel are... unlikely, to say the least. Don't these things usually hide at the first sign of humans? And spend most of their time up in trees? Yes, this is most likely a sign from some god or another."
Examine manner of rodent death in order to determine cosmic meaning.

Examine the spring.

GM note: Observation may sometimes take place outside of or inbetween actual turns. Feel free to post a new action in this case, unless you've gone over to it and want to go unreasonably far away in the same turn.

It is.... a spring? This is probably the most normal place outside the Fringe. Possibly even more normal. It's pretty boring, to be honest.

The spring consists of a hole in the ground with water coming out. There are some olive trees near it. It is incredibly uninteresting.

This whole place
is incredibly uninteresting.

If only there you had a more reliable player...

This place seems almost too uninteresting...
