:"Well, that plan sounds good enough to me, 'specially because it doesn't involve all that much motion for now."

EDIT: FORGOT SOMETHING IMPORTANT! Added now.

People scuffle about into their positions and some minor bickering.

ALLY/NEUTRAL PHASE

Fridenot is unsure about the decision, but puts his trust in Niamh and nods. He continues to hold the door.

Outside, some of the civilians hurry about trying to get around the fighting and not get caught up in it. Past the brawl between some In and An soldiers, there seems to be an Ux axeman trying to lead civilians away from the fighting.

ENEMY PHASE

The fighting outside reaches a pitched fury, shouts of betrayal and rage ringing out through the smoking city.

Spoiler: Chaos (click to show/hide)

Despite the clash of steel outside however, two solid thuds came from the door, the sounds of splintering wood and frustrated, if muffled, shouts. However, one voice rang through even the thick door.
"Bring this DOWN! We CAN'T BE STOPPED by MERE WOOD and STEEL! GO FORTH MEN, WE ARE THE EXECUTIONERS OF THE LAW!"

One could only imagine how deafening it must be on the other side.

:"Craftsman... this is a mess. Who the hell are the "executioners of the law" over there anyway?? Anata, old sword guy, either of you have any idea...?"

Fridenot shook his head. "Never been to this city before, and at this rate hopefully never again. Captain of the guards? Crazy guy with rank? Doesn't sound happy."

"Whoever it is, we'll need to deal with them at some point. The door is still holding steady, but that won't be true for very long. I think we need to start moving forward but leave some of our close range fighters at the back to deal with anyone who comes through the doors. It looks like most of the innocents are being allowed to escape but we should still try and move forward to protect them if they need it. Any objections?"

"I'll remain in the back unless anyone has an objection. Those lances easily outdistance my swords so best not to give them that advantage I think. Van, you should perhaps go in between the two ranks so that you can heal as needed. Same to you with the bow."

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

The archer clenched her fists, gripping on her bow so tightly her knuckles were turning white. These vultures, they are trying her patience.
