Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

The axeman followed Niamh with the civilian and the surrendered soldiers in tow. He was silent, not really having much to say it seems.

ALLY PHASE

As the mercenaries got together in formation, so did the Paladin and his forces. He seems impatient, tapping his foot against the packed dirt of the walkway. Fridenot moved forward with the rest of the group.

ENEMY PHASE

Code: (In Soldier F Fled!; +3) [Select]

The fighting ahead seems to be reaching a peak fervor, the whirling of steel, arrows, and curses played on a backdrop of cackling fire and choking smoke.

"They're really focused on it." Aras commented, watching the battle and trying to make out any extraordinary display of skill from afar.

"Yeah. With all the civilians out of the way I guess they're focusing on each other."

Code: (Van used Heal; +3) [Select]
Clarisse: +13 HP

With a glow from the rod, Clarisse's wounds began to knit and heal quickly.

Niamh, meanwhile, moved further into the embassy with the axeman following close by.

ALLY PHASE

Outside, the others waited for the group inside, not wanting to face the brawl up ahead without backup if they can help it.

Inside, the axeman kept with Niamh before moving a touch further ahead. With a nod, the axeman sent the civilian on their way further into the embassy.

ENEMY PHASE

The fighting seems to be in a lull as forces are met with forces and lines are placed in the sand, so to speak. It will most likely erupt in full force once again.

"Hmm. It's far from just the average rabble there. Of course, taking note of any of the skilled ones is hard, what with the press of bodies and blades."

It only took a bit of fiddling with the keys before Niamh found the right one for the chest, it unlocked with a silent mechanical click. She pulled it open to several items.

The largest among them are the large stacks of paper, both new and old. It appears to be a variety of missives, ledgers, and mail sent to the embassy set in a disorganized jumbled. Pushing some of it aside, she found a small bag that clattered when moved, making that familiar sound of lucre. Digging further in the uneven pile of paper she found a knife, a small hatchet, and a strange rod with a long metal end that barely fit inside the large chest. A handgonne.

Code: (Search Check: Niamh) [Select]
Automatically passed!
Items found:
- Iron Knife
- Hatchet
- Handgonne [See OOC Home Rules for stats]
- 13 copper coins imprinted with a variety of nation's symbols

Take knife, handgonne, and coins. If Clarisse wants the hatchet, she can come and get it herself
