Seeing as I have Fridays free this quarter, I could actually block out time to come up to Seattle, spend all of Saturday there, then come back the following day. Only problem is, I'm flat broke this quarter.

Midwesterner here.
I've been meaning to make an excuse to go on a road trip though.
I went out to Seattle for a convention in mid-2014 but I didn't really get to see much of the city as I flew in and didn't have a car.

Posting to watch but probably forget about until it's too late. I need a finalized date to work with.

i think i was at that con, ain't that something

This sounds like a great idea.

* Faces north.
* Damn, the water's on my right side.

Still sounds like a great idea even if I can't attend.
B-b-but... Australians...

Maybe we could attend via Skype or something, and have an Australian DF party someday?

Okay, so it looks like we're going to have to do this a little later than the 20th but I'll post a final date ASAP. My situation has been very chaotic and it's been hard to get things pinned down.  I think we'll say the 27th or Mar. 5th but again, I'll post a final date as soon as I reserve the location.

Perhaps he meant the 27th of March?

Yo! Thanks for checking in. I'm still working on this but I've had to deal with a lot of unfortunate problems. Since everything is taking 10x longer than I wanted, too, I'm trying to get to more stable point before I make any announcements.

Ahhh man, I wish events like this were here in Poland as well  ::) I dunno how many people would show up but I definitely would as long as it took place in my city.

Is there a mailing list, or some other way of keeping updated on a meetup? As I am currently a student, I couldn't make anything in the next few months, but if there is ever an event like this over a summer weekend I would really like to attend.

A mailing list might be a good idea. For now, you can jump onto the Dwarfmoot site (if you haven't already) and check it out. It would be cool if we could set up some type of regular gathering.

Cheers.  Thank you :)  Yes, I wish we could do this type of thing with no borders / coast-limitations.
